Represents District 7: Townships of Iona and Bondin of Murray County; and Township of Bloom of Nobles County, all in the State of Minnesota.
Tell us a little about yourself: I was born and raised in the Brewster, MN, area and graduated from Brewster High School. I attended Buena Vista University obtaining a bachelor’s degree majoring in criminal justice and agency administration. My wife, Lorna, is an ER Nurse and we have two adult children and one grandson.
Occupation and responsibilities: I worked a career in law enforcement, beginning as a Deputy Sheriff in Texas and finally retiring in 2014 from the Murray County Sheriff’s Office as their Chief Deputy Sheriff. Today, I own and operate Viper, LLC. The focus of the business is consulting on various law enforcement issues, mainly public safety technology. I consult with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children on missing and abducted cold cases, as well as do public speaking on internet child safety issues.
Community involvement/service:
I am a member of the local Civil Air Patrol, as well as various herpetological and exotic animal associations. I am USDA and MN DNR licensed to deal in exotic animals with a focus on reptiles.

I am the current board chairman for the Leading Edge Credit Union.
