Energy Alert: Help Us Reduce Peak Demand Today Nobles Cooperative Electric is asking members to help reduce electricity use today between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. There is no shortage of power. However, electricity demand is expected to be especially high this evening, which means the cost of purchasing power is higher than normal. To help reduce demand during this time, Nobles Cooperative Electric will also be activating our load control programs for participating generators, air conditioners, and peak shave water heaters. If possible, please delay the use of large electrical appliances until after 8:00 p.m. Small actions—such as waiting to run your dishwasher, clothes dryer, or other high-energy appliances—can help reduce peak demand and keep wholesale power costs lower for everyone. Thank you for helping us manage energy use and control electric costs for all members – not only locally but across the upper Midwest as the heat soars. Every little bit helps!
