Congratulations to Jael Lopez Garcia, an Edgerton High School student who represented Nobles Cooperative Electric at the 2026 National Youth Tour in Washington, D.C. She was there June 14-17, 2026. Youth Tour is more than a trip—it's an opportunity for young leaders to learn about our nation's history, government, and the power of community involvement. Throughout the week, Jael joined students from across the country, visited some of Washington's most iconic landmarks, and experienced lessons that can't be learned from a textbook alone. We are incredibly proud of Jael for representing our cooperative, her school, and southwest Minnesota so well. Thank you, Jael, for being an outstanding ambassador for our community. Power comes in many forms! Long before electric lines stretched across rural Minnesota, horsepower helped build our farms, communities, and way of life. The strength and reliability of draft horses played an important role in the history of agriculture and helped shape the communities we serve today. That's one reason Nobles Cooperative Electric is proud to sponsor the Murray County Classic Draft Horse Show, one of southwest Minnesota's summer events. Experience power in a different sense as teams from around the country bring their magnificent draft horses to Slayton for a weekend of competition, tradition, and family entertainment. There's nothing quite like feeling the thunder of a six-horse hitch as these incredible animals showcase their strength, teamwork, and precision in the ring. From classic hitch classes and farm team races to obstacle courses the show offers something for horse enthusiasts, history buffs, and families alike. If you've never experienced a draft horse show, this is a great opportunity to see some of the finest Belgian, Percheron, Clydesdale, and Shire horses in action right here in southwest Minnesota...at the Murray County Fairgrounds.
