⚠️ Severe weather is possible across our area, including strong winds, hail, and possible tornadoes. Now is a good time to prepare and stay weather aware. A few electrical safety reminders: Stay far away from any downed power lines. Always assume they are energized and dangerous. Secure outdoor items that could blow into power lines or electrical equipment. Keep phones, laptops, flashlights, batteries, and weather radios charged and ready before storms arrive. If you see damaged electrical equipment such as poles, transformers, or green utility boxes, stay back and report it right away. Our crews are prepared and will respond as safely as possible if outages occur. Please remember — after major storms, restoration work can take time depending on damage and road conditions. Let’s hope these storms stay in the ‘forecast’ and never actually arrive. But when it comes to severe weather, it’s always better to be prepared just in case. Stay safe and continue to monitor local weather updates!

New Board Member Spotlight Justin was elected last month to represent District 4, which includes the townships of Battle Plain and Vienna in Rock County, and Leota, Wilmont, Lismore, and Larkin in Nobles County. He succeeds longtime director Jerry Beckering, who retired after nine years of dedicated service to the cooperative. We thank Jerry for his years of leadership and commitment to our members and look forward to Justin joining the board. Read more about Justin here:
