MOTORS AND DRIVES

Did you know that most motors use more energy than needed? By optimizing motor speed with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) or Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), you can significantly reduce energy consumption and lower your operating costs.

How VFDs and VSDs Work:

These devices adjust the frequency of the AC power supplied to the motor, allowing you to precisely match motor speed to the task at hand. This prevents energy waste and improves efficiency.

Rebates for New Installations:

We offer rebates for new VFD/VSD installations that meet the following criteria:

  • Automated Control: The drive must be integrated with an automated control system.
  • Power Factor: The drive must have a true power factor of 0.90 or greater.

Approved Applications:

  • HVAC fans
  • Pumps
  • Cooling towers
  • Process equipment
  • Industrial fans

Upgrade Your Fractional Horsepower Motors:

Replacing old, inefficient motors with fractional horsepower models can also generate significant savings. These efficient motors offer:

  • Quieter operation
  • Lower energy consumption
  • Reduced heat load
  • Longer lifespan

Who Can Participate?

  • Commercial and industrial cooperative members are eligible for rebates.
  • Rebates are available for both new and retrofit installations.
