As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, many of us start craving those familiar flavors of fall—and there’s no better place to experience them than Nystrom Orchard.

Located just south of Worthington, Nystrom Orchard has been a staple of the local harvest season since 1912. What began with just a few trees and a family dream has grown into a vibrant fall destination known for its incredible apple varieties, fresh-baked goods, and warm, welcoming atmosphere. With more than 30 apple types, a cozy gift shop, and seasonal events, Nystrom Orchard offers the perfect mix of tradition, flavor, and family fun.

While many orchards focus on large-scale entertainment, the Nystrom family keeps things refreshingly authentic. There’s no admission fee, and instead of bounce houses or corn mazes, you’ll find scavenger hunts, outdoor games, storytime under the trees, and the simple joy of walking the orchard with a fresh caramel apple in hand.

Fall Season Hours & What to Expect

Open daily from Labor Day through Halloween:

• Monday–Saturday: 10 AM – 5 PM
• Sunday: 1 PM – 5 PM

Weekday visits offer a peaceful opportunity to grab a bag of apples, a frozen pie, or some fresh honey. Weekends are a different story—bursting with energy and fresh-from-the-oven delights like warm sourdough bread, pretzels, croissants, cider, and apple dip (varies by weekend). Their Tasting Room also features signature creations like Salted Caramel Dip, Dutch Apple Pie, Apple Cider Vinegar, The Liqueur, and Fireside Wine—all crafted on site using apples grown just steps away. It’s a true farm-to-table experience available 365 days a year (while supplies last!).

Tasting Through the Orchard

Guests take a scenic walk through the orchard while sampling small plates featuring apples and orchard-grown ingredients. The evening ends with a bonfire and live music—the perfect pairing for a crisp Minnesota evening. These events sell out fast, so plan ahead!

Cider Weekend at the Orchard

• Saturday, November 8 & Sunday, November 9, 2025

A cozy and refreshing weekend where the tasting room becomes a family-friendly, non-alcoholic pub—fresh cider flights, flatbreads, dip boards, and more!
