Throughout December, Nobles Cooperative Electric’s Month of Caring is a time to slow down, reflect, and recognize the people who help keep our cooperative strong—not just through big moments, but through the everyday work that often goes unseen.
Today in our Month of Caring, we’re shifting gears to thank someone on our team who dodges the spotlight whenever he can—but truly earns it from time to time. A big shoutout to Steve Burdick, our Materials and Fleet Coordinator and go-to guy for just about anything that needs doing.
From keeping our materials and equipment in order, to making sure our driveways get plowed, to firing up the welder when something needs fixing—Steve is usually right in the middle of whatever needs to get done. He brings a lot of skill, a lot of experience, and yes… a lot of commentary while doing it. And honestly, that’s part of the charm working with him!
And since it’s Christmas, we’ll just say this: Steve may have a little Grinch in him now and then—but just like in the movie, his heart grows three sizes when you least expect it, and it never fails to give us a smile.
We all have a “Steve” in our lives—someone who grumbles a bit, jokes a lot, and still somehow gets everything done right when it’s needed. So today, to our Steve—and to all the Steves out there—thank you for just being you.
