Rooted in Service. Growing for the Future.

April is a special time for us at Nobles Cooperative Electric. National Lineman Appreciation Day on April 13 serves as a reminder of our linemen who help keep our system running strong. Their work often happens behind the scenes, but it impacts every home, farm, and business we serve. As we celebrate 90 years of service, we also recognize the generations who built and maintained this system. Just as those before us made thoughtful, forward-looking decisions to bring reliable electricity to rural communities, we are committed to doing the same for the next generation.

Spring is a season of renewal and a natural time to look ahead to outdoor projects. We’re seeing exciting progress in electric lawn and yard tools. Today’s battery-powered equipment is more powerful, dependable and easier to use than ever. Electric mowers offer longer run times and faster charging, while running quieter and requiring less maintenance. Blowers, edgers, and chainsaws continue to improve as well, offering practical, quieter, and cleaner options for getting work done. If you are ready to make a change, check out the rebate opportunities at nobles.coop/rebates-opportunities/.

As you get back into yard work and field projects this season, it’s also a good time to keep safety top of mind. Be aware of overhead power lines when moving equipment or starting new projects around the farm or home. Taking a few extra minutes to plan ahead and look around can help prevent accidents and keep everyone safe.

Spring also tends to bring unpredictable weather—from strong winds to early storms—which can impact power lines and equipment. If you notice a downed line, always assume it is energized and stay well clear. Situational awareness during these moments helps protect not only you, but your neighbors and our crews as well.

We remain focused on careful planning, maintaining safety for our crews, steady investment in the system, and providing the dependable service you count on. Thank you for your trust and for being part of the Nobles Cooperative Electric community. Wishing you a bright, safe, and productive spring.
