In the News...
by Adam Tromblay, CEO/General Manager
Hard to believe it's already May! It's remarkable how much further along many of our farmers are with their fieldwork compared to this time last year. With larger equipment becoming the norm, it's essential to stay vigilant around power lines. A moment of misjudgment can have serious, even fatal, consequences. Please be safe out there.
In other news, the cooperative's move to Slayton is just around the corner! We're incredibly close to finalizing everything and anticipate being in our new office by the end of the month. This means we'll have a new physical address soon. While there will be a transition period, please know that our mail will be forwarded. Importantly, our phone numbers, website, and email addresses will remain the same. The Worthington drop box location will not change. Additionally, we will reinstall a drop box in Slayton following the completion of the building project.
We expect it will take a little time to fully settle into our new building, but we're excited to welcome you to an open house later this summer so you can see our new space. Watch facebook and the newsletter for details.
We've been working on updates not only to our workspaces, but also to our member services, including Smart Hub, where you can manage everything from payments to viewing statements and even reporting and checking on outages. Our team has been heavily committed to making these changes. Have you checked them out? If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us and we can help you navigate it all.
As part of Electrical Safety Month, we're prioritizing the safety of our team through continuous system upgrades. This includes updates in Lismore and across our service area, enabling us to replace outdated substations built in the 1940s. These crucial improvements will enhance your service and, importantly, provide our crews with safer, up-to-date equipment to keep your power flowing reliably.
Following our previous features on the hard work of our lineworkers, we're excited to shine a light on a invaluable member of our office team: Kathy Johnson! As a key member service representative, Kathy has been the friendly voice and helpful resource for our members since 1978.
As always, we thank you for your membership and the trust you have in our cooperative.
