Lismore Update
Our team is working on upgrades to the system within the city of Lismore.
This work is essential preparation for converting the Lismore area voltage from 2400 volts to 7200 volts. Converting to 7200 volts will align Lismore with the standard voltage used across our entire service territory, improving system efficiency and reliability. This major voltage conversion is currently planned for August 2025. When the switch occurs, the Lismore city substation feed will be transferred to our new Lismore rural substation.
We appreciate the town of Lismore for their patience during the temporary power outages. We recognize that outages are inconvenient and we will make every effort to minimize their duration and frequency during this early phase of conversion.
Our crews will be working in the area and will attempt to contact businesses directly who may be affected by any planned outages.
