Nobles Cooperative Electric Announces Board and Nominating Committee Election Results
WORTHINGTON, MN – April 14, 2025 – Nobles Cooperative Electric today announced the results of its recent elections for the cooperative's Board of Directors and Nominating Committee.
The election process began in March when ballots and informational materials were mailed to all cooperative members. Returned ballots were sent directly to the Pemberton Law Firm for independent tabulation. Attorney Chad R. Felstul announced the official results during the cooperative's annual meeting conference call held earlier today, which all members were encouraged to participate in.
In the election for the Board of Directors, congratulations go to Gary Clarke (483 votes) who ran against Sarah Barber (310 votes). Gary was re-elected to represent District 3 and was first elected to the board in 2019.
Also continuing her service on the Board of Directors is Cindy Hokneness, representing District 5. First elected in 2013, Ms. Hokneness ran unopposed in this election cycle and was elected by acclamation.
For the Nominating Committee, Seth Swan has been elected to represent District 1. In District 2, Ryan Vos was elected by acclamation, being the only candidate nominated for that district. Both Seth and Ryan are new members joining the Nominating Committee.
The Nominating Committee members are essential to good governance within the cooperative. They recruit and evaluate potential board members, ensuring the board has the right mix of skills and experience to lead Nobles Cooperative Electric effectively.
Nobles Cooperative Electric thanks the members who participated in this year's election by returning their ballots. Member engagement is crucial for the continued success and direction of the cooperative.
A full copy of the election ballot count and minutes is available on the Nobles Cooperative Electric Annual Meeting webpage.
The Board of Directors will hold its reorganization meeting, including the election of officers, during their next regular meeting scheduled for Friday, April 18th.
