90 Years of Service—Built on People, Powered by Progress
As we look ahead to June 2, 2026, Nobles Cooperative Electric will mark an important milestone—90 years of serving our members. That anniversary has given us a chance to reflect on where we started, how far we’ve come, and what continues to guide us forward.
Back in 1936, neighbors came together with a shared purpose: to bring electricity to rural homes and farms that otherwise wouldn’t have had access. It took determination, cooperation, and a willingness to work together for the greater good. That same spirit continues to define who we are today.
While the world around us continues to change, our focus remains the same—providing safe, reliable, and affordable electricity while looking out for the people we serve.
Part of that commitment is making it easier for you to connect with your cooperative. A few years ago, we transitioned to SmartHub to give members better access to their account information and tools. Today, SmartHub allows you to monitor your energy use, report outages quickly, and manage your account anytime.
If you haven’t already, I’d encourage you to consider options like Auto Pay and paperless billing. You’re still in full control of your account, but these tools help streamline processes and reduce costs for the cooperative—something that benefits all members over time.
May is Electrical Safety Month, and it’s a good reminder that safety is something we focus on every day. As spring work ramps up, please stay aware of your surroundings—especially around power lines and equipment. Taking a few extra moments to slow down and look twice can help prevent serious accidents.
We know that being your cooperative means more than providing electricity. It means listening, being accessible, and doing our best to make important decisions with our members in mind. We don’t take that responsibility lightly. Your feedback, your questions, and your perspectives matter—and they help shape how we move forward together.
As we approach our 90th anniversary, we’re reminded that this cooperative has always been about people—those who built it, those who serve today, and the members we’re proud to support.
I’d also like to take a moment to recognize the passing of one of our longtime employees, Dan Fauskee. Dan dedicated 38 years to Nobles Cooperative Electric. He brought a steady presence to his work and took pride in serving our members. We’re grateful for his years of service and the role he played in our cooperative’s story. Dan was part of our great team that shows up every day to serve our members with care and dedication. We’re fortunate to have a group of employees who take pride in their work and look out for one another—and for the communities we serve.
Thank you for being part of our cooperative.
Remembering Dan Fauskee
To many of us, Dan was more than a coworker. He was a familiar face, a trusted teammate, and a quiet constant behind the scenes who helped keep things going. His years of service are woven into the history of Nobles Cooperative Electric, and his absence will be deeply felt.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Dan’s family, friends, and all who knew him.
