Nobles Cooperative Electric
Board Member

District 4

Justin Feikema was elected last month to represent District 4, which includes the townships of Battle Plain and Vienna in Rock County, and Leota, Wilmont, Lismore, and Larkin in Nobles County. He replaces longtime director Jerry Beckering, who retired after nine years of dedicated service.

We asked Justin a few questions so members can get to know him a little better:

Tell us a little about yourself

I was born and raised on a farm in the Lismore area and now live in Leota. I served five years in the United States Marine Corps and later worked for Lockheed Martin on the F-22 program. Over the years, I’ve also worked in the wind industry and for a small town as a Maintenance Operator. I have two grown children, and in my free time I enjoy going to the lake and following Buttermaker baseball.

What do you do for work today?

I’ve been with Rock County Rural Water for over 10 years as a water operator. My role involves managing, maintaining, and monitoring water treatment and distribution systems to ensure safe, reliable drinking water for farmers, towns, and rural residents.

What leadership experience do you bring to the board?

My time in the United States Marine Corps helped shape my leadership style and approach to teamwork and decision-making.

What do you see as the biggest issues facing the electric industry—and our cooperative?

Rising demand and limited supply are major challenges. At the same time, costs are increasing. The cooperative has to balance those pressures while continuing to provide affordable, reliable service and strong member support.

Why did you want to serve on the Nobles Cooperative Electric Board?

I wanted to serve because I believe I can bring strong leadership and utility-related experience to the board. I’m willing to ask questions and take a thoughtful approach to decisions. Most importantly, I want to help navigate the challenges ahead while keeping the best interests of our members front and center.

Please join us in welcoming Justin to the Nobles Cooperative Electric Board of Directors.
