Operation Round Up Fall winners

Nobles Cooperative Electric is proud to announce the recipients of our Fall Operation Round Up grants! We're able to support a wide range of organizations making a positive impact in our community. The new round of recipients include:

  • First Responders: Local fire departments received grants for crucial equipment upgrades, which include new pagers, extrication tools and specialized nozzles. The funding recipients are:
    • Fulda Fire Department - $1,780
    • Lake Wilson Fire Department - $1,780
    • Slayton Fire Department - $1,780
  • Comforting Quilters: Several regional quilting groups have been granted funds for materials to create quilts for those in need.
    • American Lutheran Church of Worthington - $350
    • Chandler Area Quilters Group -$350
    • Good Shepherd Lutheran Church - $350
    • Lake Sarah Quilters - $350
    • Sillerud Quilters and Friends - $350
  • Supporting Seniors: Funding has been allocated to improve senior services, including meal delivery for home-bound individuals and wellness programs. We are happy to be providing funds this season to:
    • ACE of Southwest Minnesota in Murray County - $350
    • Brewster Senior Dining - $950
    • Ecumen Meadows - $875
  • Investing in Education: Grants have been awarded to schools for various needs, such as phonics materials, enhancements for drama departments and early childhood initiatives. Our educational focus during this round awards will support:
    • Nobles County Child Care Project - $1,560
    • Murray County Central Drama Department - $480
    • Murray County Central Kindergarten - $580
    • Murray County Early Childhood Initiative - $1,200
    • Fulda PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Support) - $1,040
    • Trinity Preschool - $600
  • Strengthening Community: Numerous organizations have received support, including historical societies, 4-H clubs and local associations.
    • Nobles County History Society - $710
    • Slayton Women of Today - $585
    • City of Ellsworth - $1,475
    • City of Lake Wilson - $1,200
    • Grand Prairie Rockets 4-H Club - $580
    • Fulda Area Lakes Association - $1,040

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our members who contribute to Operation Round Up by rounding up their monthly electric bills. These small donations accumulate to create a significant impact in our community! 

During this 2024 fall distribution we awarded $20,275 which means we have given $545,363 to local organizations since the program began.
